You'll be deeply engaged in the sit directly inside the rulemaking process, bringing deep corporate finance, trading, and issuance expertise to bear on active rule proposals, comment letter strategy, and requests for no-action or exemptive relief. This role shapes how Coinbase navigates the evolving U.S. securities regulatory landscape, translating proposed and final rules into actionable guidance for Legal, Product, and executive stakeholders.</p> <p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Drive Coinbase's engagement on active and pending SEC rulemakings related to market structure, trading, and securities issuance, ensuring Coinbase's positions are well-represented throughout the rulemaking lifecycle.</li> <li>Lead the development of Coinbase's comment letter strategy in response to SEC proposals affecting digital asset markets, drafting or directing substantive responses that advance Coinbase's regulatory objectives.</li> <li>Build and maintain relationships with SEC staff and Commissioners' offices, positioning Coinbase as a credible, constructive participant in the policy process.</li> <li>Translate proposed and final rules into internal guidance for Legal, Product, and executive stakeholders, identifying compliance implications, operational requirements, and strategic opportunities.</li> <li>Partner with Legal to assess regulatory risk and compliance implications of new rules, including evaluating paths for no-action letters or exemptive reli
